What is an element template?

To speed up the process of building a new element, architects and builders can start the process by using a pre-existing element template as their starting point. An element template enables you to re-use common element structures easily – facilitating fast methodology development and the consistent presentation of information in your grids.

An element template includes a pre-set template of content areas – arranged into a specific order – with descriptive text included. An element template does not include actual content (e.g. documents, links, expert-tags); rather, content is added to a specific element once a template has been selected.

Your Method Grid domain comes pre-loaded with an example element template but you can easily create your own bespoke element templates; see How do I create an element template?

All element templates are available to view from within your templates library - see “Templates” option on top menu bar.
