This article describers how to assign an element to a member.
An architect or builder can assign a member to an element (free user).
An architect or member with manage or edit access control privileges to a grid can assign a member to an element (paid user).
There are two ways to do this.
- On the grid - edit mode on - you will see a little grey member + silhouette icon in the top left corner of an element. Click on it (be certain to click on it otherwise you will just open the element!) and an off canvas will appear from the right of the screen displaying a member search and the members that have access to the grid you are viewing. Search for a member or scroll through the list and click on the member you wish to assign to that element. You can only ever assign an element to one person at a time, as the objective is to create single points of accountability. You can change the person at anytime by clicking again on the assigned members profile image that has replaced the little grey member + silhouette icon in the top left corner of an element, activating the off canvas, the assigned person will now appear at the top of the off canvas with an unassigned link under their image. Selecting another member will also automatically unassign the member in favour of the newly selected member.
- In an element - edit mode on - will see a grey member + silhouette icon in left of the element title. Click to reveal the off canvas, then the process is the same as above.
