What is a template?

To speed up the process of building, architects and builders can start the process by using a pre-existing template as their starting point. A template enables you to re-use common structures easily – facilitating fast methodology development and the consistent presentation of information in your grids.

A template includes a pre-set template of content areas – arranged into a specific order – with descriptive text included. An template does not include actual content (e.g. documents, links, expert-tags); rather, content is added to a specific item once a template has been selected.

Your Method Grid domain comes pre-loaded with an example templates but you can easily create your own bespoke templates; see How do I create a template?

All templates are available to view from within your templates library - see “Templates” option (lightbulb) in the navigation bar.
